Music starts at 5:30pm with old school Aaronzona Family Alum Dougie Dye making his second appearance at the Family Reunion with his new project Simpatico. The rest of Friday evening is loaded with Returning performers for past Family Reunions. Kev Rowe will be supplying 2 Tweener sets between the evening's headliners. Everyone should remember Kev from Last year’s headliner Big Leg Emma. Around 8 O’clock Borderless Puzzle will again rock the Aaronzona Main Stage with their exotic blend of organic house and funky jams. The last act to take the stage on Friday will be the fast up and coming improvisational rockers People of Earth. With a little more than 2 years and less than 35 gigs together these guys have already played 2 spring fests, 3 festivals at Nelson Ledges Quarry park, 1 Grassroots Trumansburg, and are going to be at their second Great Blue Heron in July not to mention a whole slew of festival dates this summer from West Virginia to Central New York.
The music Saturday afternoon starts off with Cindy Haight, who some of you may remember last year with The Derbines. This year Cindy is bringing her friend Brian Hanna for a singer songwriter duo performance. Next on the second stage will be a set from Kyle Schoolmaster. Kyle is relatively new to the area and has a folk rag-time sound. Following him will be another Kyle. Our very own Kyle Sorenson will be offering up a set from his new project Kyle and the Show. Kyle is Kyle and the Show is THE SHOW. The show is a revolving cast of the best musicians from the Charlotte, NC area. We hope to include a few real special guests with the show this year. We are also pleased to offer two Tweener sets from our friends Kris Kehr and Julie Edlow. Our first headliner for Saturday night comes to us from Chapel Hill, NC. Hot off of an appearance on NPR Radio’s World Café, Hobex is going to blow the roof off of the Aaronzona stage with their soulful blend of Blues and R&B. Saturday at Midnight Baltimore’s The Bridge brings their Urban Jazz feel to the Aaronzona stage. Complete with a beat boxing mandolin playing front man The Bridge is an act you do not want to miss. We are very pleased to announce that the Quagmire Swim Team from the Harrisburg Pa area will close out the festival in the Dance Tent/ Café area. The Swim Meet will be livetronica at its finest and a killer way to close out Aaronzona 2006.
